Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands - governed by Spain and offering a fantastic climate. It's become a firm favourite with many people looking for both summer and winter sun trips.
There are a number of budget airlines flying direct to Tenerife from the UK, opening up many possibilities in terms of finding cheaper holiday deals. So is it possible to find some low prices on Tenerife in order to get a really great holiday at a bargain price?
As you might expect, the island has a large number of hotels. The quality of the accommodation does vary, however, so how should you go about finding those that are right for your holiday?
Making use of independent online reviews can be a great way to do this. You'll soon be able to spot those that don't appear to offer
great value for money.
With a quick scan of some popular review sites you can also soon identify where the real bargains are to be found. For instance, the Grand Hotel Anthelia tends to score highly, although it is a 5 star hotel, so maybe this is to be expected.
How about some of those that have lower official ratings and yet still score highly with visitors? These are the real gems. The Palia Don Pedro on the southern part of the island is a great example. Officially only a 2 star hotel, it offers more than many expect.
